Guns safety rules and mindset

Boyer Firearms  12-hour CCW course is designed for beginning and experienced shooters to help you master the shooting skills and attitudes essential to the safe and efficient use of a concealed carry handgun, for your protection and for the protection of others. All classes are taught by certified NRA Instructors with a strong commitment to safety and the understanding that everyone's comfort level around firearms varies.

This course includes all the requirements as set forth in Ohio's CCW legislation.

Do Not ! bring any Guns or Live Ammo into the classroom ( please leave it in your vehicle)

In the classroom, students learn the following:
§      Safety rules and procedures
§      Handgun components and functioning
§      Ammunition basics and malfunctions
§      Parts and functioning of revolvers and semi-auto pistols
§      Shooting fundamentals (grip, stance, sight and trigger management)
§      Cleaning and safe storage
§      Legal aspects of Concealed Carry
§      Concealment options
§      We also cover different circumstances that you may encounter. In addition we cover scenarios that will prepare you for encounters with law enforcement..
§      You will develop a defensive mindset, awareness, avoidance, & de-escalation.

On our range, students practice the following:
§      Range safety and marksmanship training.
§      Marksmanship fundamentals, with appropriate coaching.

Everything you need to successfully complete the CCW course is provided for you:
§      .22 semi auto or revolver pistol - may use your own if preferred.
§      Ammunition - bring your own (100 rounds) if use your personal firearm.
§      Targets.
§      Eye & Ear protection - bring your own if available.
§      Books, safety and Legal Brochures.
§      After successful course completion, you will receive a certificate allowing you to apply for your Ohio CCW permit.

We offer different 12-hour class arrangements to fit your schedule:
§        Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM - Cost: $95.00
§        Saturday from 8 AM to 8  PM - Cost: $95.00 - Bring Lunch and drink, (we do not leave the class room for lunch)
§        Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM - Cost: $95.00 - Bring Lunch and drink, (we do not leave the class room for lunch)
§        If you cannot attend one of our regularly scheduled courses, private, discreet one-on-one instruction is available to meet your specific needs. The rate for private instruction is $50 per hour.
§        PLEASE NOTE: Registrations for firearms training classes are refundable if canceled 7 days before start date.
